Campground Amenities and Facilities

Welcome

Castle Rock Campark extends to you the hospitality and natural beauty of the Mackinac Straits Area. Known for its blue water, fantastic sunrise, moon rising over the island in all its natural splendor and colorful elegance, glimmering over the water.  On a rare occasion in August and September view the northern lights.  We are the only campground in the area with a sandy beach.

Centrally Located   
Easy access to various points of history, activities, special events, restaurants, Casino, shopping, mini golf, 1 mile to St. Ignace limits. We have a beach playground on the only Natural Sandy Beach in the area, well maintained grounds, next to a Federal Forest with much sight seeing, trails and bird watching.  Campers with big rigs like to stay four or five days and visit the other tourist attractions in the area.

• Within 15 mins, of Mackinac Island Ferries, sand dunes, shopping, casino, golf course, hospital, medical clinic, and Mackinac City.

• Within one hour of Soo Locks.

• Within one and half hours of Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point (area of Edmund Fitzgerald), Drummond Island,

• Free shuttles to Mackinac Island ferries and to Kawadin Casino. Provided by the casino and ferry lines.

• Our campground is right next to the Federal Forest for more hiking and exploring.

• Numerous lighthouses.

Type of Sites  

We offer various sized sites that are able to accommodate a small pup tent to a large 5th wheel with four slide outs.  All sites are level with grass and have their own built in fire ring and picnic table.  Most have trees on three sides for privacy.  We take pride in the amount of trees our campark has has to offer.

• Every two sites shares a garbage can.  Garbage pick up is everyday after lunch

• Free dump station for campers that are staying at our park.

Facilities  

Our facilities include everything to make your stay a relaxed and pleasant experience.

• Camp store with full line of groceries and picnic supplies, snacks, candy, dairy products, R.V. Supplies, pop, etc.

• Modern restrooms with free hot showers and flush toilets

• Laundry facilities

• Free dump station for our guests.

• Check in time is 12:00 (noon)

• Check out time is 12:00 (noon)

• Quite hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.  These hours are strictly enforced.

For the Kids   

Bring your lawn chair and spend hours on the beach relaxing with the kids while they play in the water and build sand castles.

• Sandy swimming beach with a gradual incline.  There is no lifeguard on duty and all children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• Every year we raise mallard ducks, wood ducks, and bunnies.

Pets         

We welcome pets at our campground.  If you see me at the park I usually have both my labs with me.

• Pets must be under your control at all times, either on a leash or electric collar.  

• Pets are not allowed on or near the swimming beach.

• There is a dog run.  It is on the campground map or ask at the office.

• Please never leave them unattended at your site at any time.  There are nearby kennels that will board your pet for the day while you are out visiting the local tourist attractions.
